SPSS is available on the remote lab but is restricted to those who request access.  If you would like access to SPSS on the remote lab system please email asu-it@uwyo.edu

Frequently Asked Questions

Connections are secured with SSL.  No VPN is required.

Printing is now available on both the Standard and Custom connections - See Frequently Asked Questions for details

  • Standard Connection - Use your normal UWYO username and password to log in to the remote lab system. To end a session, click on Start, Log Off.
  • Custom Connection - Set some of the connection options and have access to your local hard drive.  When prompted, enter your normal UWYO username, but not your password or domain.  In the HOBLink JWT – Startup Settings window, click Connect. To end a session, click on Start, Log Off.

Notes for First Time Users

  • Only connections from Internet Explorer will be supported.
     
  • Dial-up modem connections are not recommended for use with this service. 
  • Timeouts

    In order to maximize the availability of the remote lab nodes and to prevent abuse, the following timeout policies have been implemented. 

    If an account is left idle on a remote lab node for 30 minutes it will be automatically logged off.

    Maximum connection time is 3 hours.  After 3 hours users will be logged off.  A user may log back in after the log off if a machine is available.

  • Operating System and Version (Mac, Unix, Windows XP, etc.)
  • Version of your Java Virtual Machine
  • Problem description, please be as specific as possible.
